One of the most overlooked and powerful spiritual tools that we have at our disposal is prayer, not because our prayers exert some kind of special influence OVER God, but because in prayer we maintain our connection WITH God. You can technically be wearing every piece of spiritual armor, but without an ongoing connection with God, everything else is powerless.

Our hearts can be a great source of compassion, empathy, and comfort to others, and it can be a selfish, foolish force for self-righteousness, jealousy and anger that will poison our lives. People who do not keep a close eye on their hearts are not far from disaster in their lives.
Sports fanatics don't make it hard to guess what team they support, they wear their colors with pride and expectation. When it comes to spiritual conflict, however, many find distinguishing their enemy is a bit harder. It is important the every believer clearly understands that other people are never the enemy - our enemy is a spiritual one, not flesh and blood.
