One of the most overlooked and powerful spiritual tools that we have at our disposal is prayer, not because our prayers exert some kind of special influence OVER God, but because in prayer we maintain our connection WITH God. You can technically be wearing every piece of spiritual armor, but without an ongoing connection with God, everything else is powerless.
Most every skill that you can acquire is perishable - you must continue to practice if you want that skill to remain sharp. There are many spiritual skills that you must also practice to master. Properly handling the Sword of the Spirit is certainly not the least of these. So...what are you DOING with yours?
Spiritual conflict always includes spiritual attack. We should never be surprised when our faith is tested in ways that could make us question what we believe, and if we have the courage to rise to the occasion these times can actually result in a strengthening of our faith. The question is, are you prepared with your shield of faith in all circumstances?
